Certifications / Education required

• Bachelor’s degree in law and master’s degree in law, international law, or human rights law.
• Knowledge of data protection laws, confirmed by Data Protection Officer certification.
• Admission to practice law is an asset.
• Fluent command of English and French.
• Computer proficiency.

Professional Experience required

• Typically 10-12 years’ overall professional experience
• Minimum 5 years experience as a legal adviser/attorney.
• Minimum 2 years experience advising on data protection/privacy matters.
• Operational experience in the humanitarian sector as program coordinator/manager and/or within a recognized international organization.
